Today Mrs Taaffe came in and confessed that she did the crime in our Whetu classroom. Mrs Taaffe said that she came to school on Saturday the 10th of October to drop some work off at school. Mrs Taaffe's computer has been having some issues so she came into Whetu and took the dongle she saw the jar of milky ways for our star buck draw since she loves mini chocolates she got so tempted that she took a few. She heard someone so she rushed out of the classroom and dropped some milky way bars on the floor. She went to exit the classroom and then the door got jammed so Mrs Taaffe pushed the door and so the door got a little crack in it. Mrs Taaffe left the room and ran out to the front of the office. She then stopped behind a bush to see if the door closed. She then left to go to the petrol station to get a few things and then went to the hairdressers.

Letter Of The Week
This week for letter of the week the letter was C. We had to research some words to fill up our piece of paper or our google drawing page. My tongue twister was The Chicken Checkers Ought To Check The Chickens That The Chicken Catchers Caught. I worked very hard to make my work a supernova even though it took a long time to do it. I think this weeks Letter of the week is my best one so far because it has a lot of detail and I took my time with searching up good words for what I am describing. I am very proud of my work and can't wait for next week.

Lifting Finger Prints

Finger Prints
This week for our rotation with Mrs Kennedy we were printing our own finger prints with these ink pads that a police officer gave to Mrs Kennedy. There are three main finger print patterns, 1.loop 2.whorl 3.arch. I have no arches, 8 loops, and 2 whorls. Were we kept our finger prints were on this Fantastic Fingerprints sheet and on it, it tells you that koalas have finger prints very similar to humans that they could be a confused at a crime scene.when we were printing our fingerprints we had to use one side of the ink pad and the other side was for your buddy then you would have to wipe of some of the ink on a piece of paper and put the finger print piece paper on the edge of the table then start on one edge of your finger and work your way to the other so that you can see your whole finger print and if you were in a crime scene the police would be able to tell you finger print. I can't wait for next weeks finger printing session.

Letter of the week
This week for the letter of the week was M. This week was a lot easier then last weeks letter because lots of words start with M that I know. I like letter of the week because it dose not take up a lot of time if I focus on only doing letter of the week. I do my letter of the week o Monday because It is quit easy to do. Letter of the week is quit similar to number of the day just you don't have to do it ever day. I think my tongue twister is very hard. My tongue twister is Mummies munch much mush; Monsters munch much mush; many mummies and monsters must munch much mush.I love letter of the week and hope we do it next term too.

Cooking Reflection
This week it was my turn to do cooking. We made vegetable soup. I brought silver beat and in the morning I had to chop it up. On the first day we went over the safety rules, On the second day we chopped up the veg's and did a word find and a quiz, and On the third day we ate the soup. The soup was soo good and I really want to do cooking again. The reason why my eyes look weird in the photo is because I was closing my eyes when the photo was taken so I went on google drawings and made myself some eyes.
Maths Mystery
This week for maths mystery I worked with Jasmine like last week just I forgot to put my Maths mystery on my blog last week. This weeks maths mystery was way easier then last week. The hardest part was answering the 5th clue because we had to so three different things. The easiest part was clue 2 input and output. I feel like the maths mystery is way easier then the literacy mystery because I am better at maths then literacy and I can't tell the difference of some words because they all sound the same. I am soooooo exited for next weeks Maths Mystery.
Literacy Mystery
This week for the Literacy Mystery I worked with Sophie. The Mystery was way harder then last week. I liked the mystery this week because It was about running races and I love running races. The person that stole the medals was Claire White. The hardest part was Clue number 3 because I can't tell the difference between their and they're. I love literacy mystery and can't wait for next week the last week of term 3.

Te Wiki o te Reo Maori Challenge
This week It Is Te Wiki O Te Reo Maori week. Since It Is Te Reo Maori Week we are doing A Maori challenge were we choose a phrase then we have to make it in to a cool google, slide google doc or google slides. I did a google drawing because I am very good at using all the shapes and links and also putting photos on it. The phrase I chose was Kia Kaha E Hoa Ma, Let's Go Team. Why I chose that phrase was because before ever rugby game we do a cheer and I love rugby. It took quit a while to say the pronunciation right but after 3 to 4 minutes I got it and Brianna helped me video it. I love Te Reo Maori and want to learn more of the Maori Language.

Mrs Loft but some examples of some of the Fred the moth letters of the week. The hardest part of the letter of the week was making the tongue twister. My tongue twister was GRACE GREW GREECE GRAPES. The easiest part was getting all the pictures. I Love Letter Of The Week and I really want to do it again next week.

Zoo Inquiry
This term for Inquiry Whetu have been researching about zoos. We have been going in our learning constellation groups and doing different activities. At the end our different activities teachers told us that we have to present our work in some way. I choose to make a poster because I like drawing and I want to put it somewhere around the town. I think that zoos are a good place for animals because they can't get hurt in there enclosure but they can get hurt in the wild. Our main question was Should animals be kept in zoos?

Cross Country Reflection
Cross Country Reflection 2020
This year I participated in the NPS Cross Country held at school on the Ngatea Domain. I ran in the 9 year old age group.
I am most proud of coming second in the 9 year old cross country because last year I came seventh in the eight year old group and I versed the same people this year and I also made it into Hauraki Plains Cross Country.
I think my effort towards our training at school was very helpfully especially because we had to run on the Ngatea Domain since of Covid 19.
I showed the Learning Power of Resilience by not giving up even though I found it hard to breath and I ran on the hard rocks.

Maths Mahi
This week for Maths Mahi I answered 9 questions and they were all correct. I got a little bit of help with the Proportions and Ratios bye Mrs Kennedy because I could not really under stand what we had to do. I had to use tape to stick the nets together because the glue would not stick and it was way easier. I am very proud of my work and can't wait for next week.

Egg Drop Challege
In my group was Tayla K, Katelyn B, And I. I think we worked well together because we used teamwork and didn't fight or complain when we did something wrong or not right.
Our egg did not crack. I don't think It cracked because we made a nest with the sock covered the top in newspaper and had a parachute so it would go down slowly.
How we made our creation was we first made the parachute then we made the nest then we attached everything together.
Her is a photo of us holding our creation.

Matariki stars
The hardest part was cutting out the stars because when I was cutting the stars out the puzzle piece bit kept ripping of the star to attach it to the big Matariki piece.
The easiest part was drawing all the different details in the stars because if I put my mind to something I finish it and make it good and colourful
The dog I drew looks Fat, angry, and cheeky.
I think my work is a supernova because I took my time and it pops and is all coloured in.

Egg Carton Challenge
The Materials I used was egg cartons, coloured paper, sharpie, Velcro, double sided tape, paint,
glue gun, and cardboard.
The hardest part was gluing the tree to the base, I think why it did not really stick to the base was
because the tree trunk was very bendy.
The easiest part was painting the tree and the base.
I love my work and know it is a super nova.
